Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse - Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, Green, Ohio

Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse was the fourth one room schoolhouse built in Green Township.  It served children living in District 13, which covered part of Green Township and Jackson Township in Stark County.  It was originally located on Mt. Pleasant Road on land owned by Mr. Robert Boettler.  Mr. Boettler moved the schoolhouse to his land, which became Boettler Park.

Currently, the renovated schoolhouse is used by the City of Green Division of Parks and Recreation and Historic Preservation Commission and Green Local Schools to host several educational programs.  For more information about programs at Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse, contact the Parks and Recreation Division 330.896.6621 or the Planning Department 330.896.6614.
