Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse - Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, Green, Ohio

Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse was the fourth one room schoolhouse built in Green Township.  It served children living in District 13, which covered part of Green Township and Jackson Township in Stark County.  It was originally located on Mt. Pleasant Road on land owned by Mr. Robert Boettler.  Mr. Boettler moved the schoolhouse to his land, which became Boettler Park.

Currently, the renovated schoolhouse is leased to the Green Historical Society and is used to host several educational programs and serves as an archive for their local historical collection.  The schoolhouse is open to the public during good weather on Sundays from noon to 2 pm.
