Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse
Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse is open to the public every Sunday from noon to 2 pm from April through November. The schoolhouse is also open to the public during all City of Green festivals in Boettler and Southgate Parks including FreedomFest, Art-a-Palooza, and Twisted Wilderfest.
Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse is a restored one-room schoolhouse used to teach elementary students about life in rural Green in the 1880's. Every Spring, GHS hosts 3rd graders from Green Local Schools and home school groups at our Day in 1885 programs. The basement of Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse is a local history museum and houses the archives of the Green Historical Society.
Monthly Board Meetings: Our Board meets on the second Monday of most months at 6:30 PM at the Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse in Boettler Park. Please email [email protected] for more information.
