Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is October 1

The City of Green and Green Historical Society invites the community to attend the official ribbon cutting of the rebuilt 1885 historic Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse, 5300 Massillon Road, on Friday, October 1 at 9 a.m.

The brief ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Gerard Neugebauer and Glenn Witsaman, president of the Green Historical Society, followed by a ribbon cutting, tours and refreshments. In addition, the Green Historical Society invites all who attend to add their signature to the schoolhouse register, which will be included in a time capsule mounted in the archival room for opening in 2085, the 200th anniversary of the schoolhouse.
